Nigerians On the Money, Americans Are Dumbasses.

I'm part of a generation that grew up with knowing a lot about computers and not trusting anyone on the internet. Don't click pop ups. Don't download attachments from people you don't know. And if someone privately a/s/l-'s you in a chat room, you do not give them a single ounce of real information. Unfortunately, our parents didn't follow that rule. You know those cash scam things? (Yeah, Ruth, they're everywhere. Which one?) The ones where you get the e-mail that's like "Hey I'm a prince from Nigeria. I got a shit ton of money and I'll give you a chunk if you send me money to open a bank account. Like a lot. Like maybe your life savings." (It's called 'advance-fee fraud'. Wikipedia that shit.) Nigeria's like "Hey, it's not our fault your country's a bunch of greedy dumbasses. Don't give us a bad name. Your people sending the money are just as guilty as the people sending the e-mails."

I agree. If you're a dumbass that doesn't know any better, you should be jailed. Maybe that hard time you spend, you could take those college courses they offer and get a degree from the University of Incarcerated and major in not being a greedy dumbass.

My mom's friend, who, if you know me well enough, know who it is, was a victim of something similar. Instead the guy she met in a chat room was using her address as a middleman for shipping stolen laptops. She has since moved to a different city & had to change everything so the cops don't come looking for her. And she didn't even get paid for shipping these laptops. She did it just to be nice to a guy she never met. Again. Dumbass.
