Where the FUCK have you been all break?!?!

I've been hiding out during break. I've hung out with Dave, worked, read books, worked, paid the bills, worked and, if anyone bothers to call me, I hang out. It's nice to see who cared to hang out with me and those who didn't.

Good news, my mom got a kidney. She had only been waiting eight years, but she got a call Tuesday, went under the knife that night, started peeing the next day (something she hasn't done in eight years and what us drunks take for granted) and she should be coming home tomorrow. An absolute blessing and a relief to our family.

I'm kind of itching to see 'Bride Wars'. It's sick, because I haven't been a fan of some of the chick flick fair as of late. I loathed 'Made Of Honor' and couldn't finish '27 Dresses' because it was so boring.

What Did I Get For Christmas (from everyone)?

Books Completed Over Break -
A Long Way Down, Nick Hornby - one of my favorite authors, my least favorite of his books. It was pretty lame.

Twilight, Stephenie Meyer - yeah, I read it. Good book, but I still don't get the hysteria. Or rather, I can see why people are all excited about it, but they need to calm the f down. I just don't get excited about books.

Books In the Process -
High Lonesome, Joyce Carol Oates - this book is massive. Because it's literature, not piss on paper, it's like eating a really well done cooked steak. You have to cut it up and eat it slowly or you'll never finish.

New Moon, Stephenie Meyer - Might as well read the whole damn series.

Because They Hate, Brigitte Gabriel - No joke, I was hostessing today & someone left it there. No one claimed it so I took it as a read-this-book,-pay-it-forward-after-you-read-it. If not, well, I need to finish it by the time I go in tomorrow so, just in case they call about a missing book, I'm not tabbed as a book thief. Amazing. I'm a pacifist, not a big fan of pointless wars, but I'm not really a fan of radicals of any religion or walk of life. Read. This. Book.
